I’ve gone here many times now and I’ve never had a bad meal. I would say their food is some of the best in Kingston. They serve brunch thru dinner, both menus are excellent. For brunch, their eggs benedict and shakshouka are tasty, and for dinner the fried calamari app is a great choice. The atmosphere is nice, with the bar and neon signs adding a nice touch. The only reason I gave the service 4 stars is for wait time. It can take a little time for the food and for the servers to make their way to your table. But other than that, I highly recommend.
From the moment we walked in, we were wrapped in warmth - like being welcomed into someone’s home where everything smells delicious and feels just right. The atmosphere was cozy and charming, with the kind of lighting that makes everyone at the table look like they're in a movie. And the food? Oh my goodness. Every bite was a celebration - fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. It’s rare to find a place where the dishes are both comforting and creative, but this restaurant absolutely nailed it. What truly made the experience unforgettable was our server, Jeremy. They were the heart of our evening - attentive without hovering, kind without being overly formal, and so genuinely passionate about the menu. It felt like dining with a friend who just happens to be incredibly good at their job. We left with full bellies, happy hearts, and a new favorite spot we can’t wait to return to. Thank you for making our night so special. And thank you so much to the amazing Dorrie who checked on us and made us feel so special.
We had a group reservation and sat at a super comfortable spot at the front of the restaurant. Servers were great. Cocktails were delicious! As an appetizer definitely try the zucchini chips. We all enjoyed our food - tuna tartare was amazing but a tad too spicy for my palette. Time delay to receive our food was a bit long considering it was a Monday and restaurant wasn’t that busy, but judging on overall experience, it was a nice atmosphere and overall great place to dine. They also have an outdoor patio. Bathrooms are located down the stairs - not aware if they have an accessible washroom on the main floor. Great laid back atmosphere, nice bar too to just have a drink in downtown Kingston and will definitely go back!
Five stars all around! Our server Jeremy and the manager Dorrie were both exceptional. Jeremy was incredibly friendly, attentive, and gave us some fantastic food recommendations! We genuinely loved the pizza and wine we had! Can’t wait to come back!
First time here, and it was great. The food, the service, and the atmosphere were wonderful.
Our weekly 52 Dates in a jar brought us to UNION. We arrived before the rush of a Saturday night and was promptly seated. My wife had the Raspberry Sunset martini with Gin. She wants the recipe, it was very good. We had one of their wood fired pizzas and it was so good....and the Tiramisu which was made in house was a great way to finish our date night. The service was awesome and our server was very engaged and fun. It was our first time at UNION and we will be back.
We had a wonderful dinner at Union during a recent day trip to Kingston. Special shout out to our server, Jeremy - who was excellent, very knowledgeable about the menu, friendly and attentive! Thanks for giving us such a great experience! I would highly recommend the toasted ravioli as a must-try appetizer. We wanted to try a little bit of everything so we also ordered a Caesar salad to share, the shrimp scampi, chicken Parmesan, rose sangria and the espresso creme brulee for dessert! 10/10 Everything we had was top-notch, flavourful and the ingredients were very fresh. The portions of all our dishes were super generous and the price point was very reasonable. I’ll be happily recommending Union to anyone heading to Kingston and we will definitely be coming back.
